If you’d like to come to see what Liverpool Sun and Air is all about, here is some information that you will need.
- Day visitors must complete a visitor form first. Once submitted, please call us on 07947 48 07 07 to verify your submission and pay the current day-rate.
You can fill in the visitor form by clicking here ‘Book a Visit’ - We do not allow pets onsite except from guide or support pets.
- Clothes MUST be worn at all times in the main carpark – NO EXCEPTIONS. When the gate is open, people passing can see into the club.
With the formalities out of the way, on behalf of the committee and members of Liverpool Sun and Air Society, we warmly welcome you to our club.
We are a members club which was established over 90 years ago (our 90th birthday party was a spectacular event).
As we are a members-led club, all the work whether it be gardening, cleaning the pool, maintaining the facilities and grounds – it’s all done by our members so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
On this page, you’ll find answers to many of the questions you may have and also useful information on finding your way around the club.
The club has 40 day chalets and 20 static caravans which are all privately owned.
We have space for 10 caravans/campervans with electric hookups and space for 20 tents.
The Clubhouse
In the clubhouse you will find our noticeboard and the list if committee members.
There are changing rooms and lockers, washing machine (for a small charge), sauna and hot tub, toilets including disabled toilet and showers, plus our socials venue which has a small lounge area with a TV and library for you to use.
The Games Room
The games room has a small snooker table, table top shuffleboard and various games for adults and children, plus we keep freezers in there if you wish to use them.
The Kitchens
We have 2 kitchens, one is only accessible by the kitchen staff/committee members and the other is a members kitchen which is available for everyone to use and it’s fully fitted.
– Visitors are welcome to use the fridge but please remove anything of yours upon your departure.
– Treat this like your own kitchen, clean up after yourself and put things away after use.
– Please take all rubbish with you as we do not have a refuse collection service.
– Please do not put any fat down the drains, use the green fat collectors in the kitchen areas.
The Sauna
The sauna is only available on Friday evenings (please Book A Visit here if you’d like to attend)
Please do not switch this on at any other time.
The jacuzzi/hot tub is available at any time provided there is no signage advising of it’s closure (usually for water treatment or cleaning).
For health and safety reasons – NO lone bathers or breakables in the hot tub.
Noise
Please respect our fellow members and guests, especially at night.
If you make a mess, please clean it up – the only cleaners onsite is you!
The Club
(A few requests to help us keep everyone safe and secure while using our facilities)
- Towels – It is one of those unwritten rules and common courtesy that you sit on a towel when you’re using a chair that’s not your own.
- In the grounds, you’ll find an open-air heated swimming pool and surrounding it are sun loungers for use by everyone. Nudity is compulsory in the pool.
- Please use the shower beside the entrance before entering the pool.
- All non-swimmers must have an able-bodied swimmer at the poolside.
- For health and safety, no lone swimmers or breakables in the pool.
- There are grassy camping areas around the pool and other parts of the club to lay your towel or deck chairs should you wish to sunbathe.
- If you are driving, there is a 5MPH speed limit throughout the club, please drive and park with care and consideration.
Photography
In order to preserve everyones’ privacy, permission MUST be obtained from a committee member before taking any photos or videos and explicit permission from EVERYONE in the photo/video (even those in the background that you may not have noticed)
Children
Visitors and members are responsible for their childrens’ safety and behaviour AT ALL TIMES.
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times in the pool area and untrained children must wear rubber pants.
Special Notes
We have a bio-disc system (similar to septic tanks) which ONLY take the 3P’s (pee, paper and poo).
Nothing else should go down the toilet!
Water and waste disposal for caravans/campervans
The waste disposal area is behind the clubhouse and about 10 yards to the left (from the inside) of the main entrance/car park.
There is a labelled small structure with doors on the front. There is a hosepipe for cleaning on the outside of the structure.
If you’re walking through the carpark, you MUST be wearing clothes.
You can recharge your clean water tanks and there is also a ground-level drain for motorhomes.
FINALLY!
(I bet you’re relieved!)
If you have any problems or concerns, please contact the person who admitted you or any committee member (a list is on the noticeboard in the clubhouse) or call the Visitor Team (Liz or Dianne) on 07947 48070 or the secretary Simon on 07967 884448
We hope you enjoy your stay and hope to see you again.
